With a journalism and public relations career spanning 15 years, Sarah-Jane has lived and worked in leading media markets of Denver, Los Angeles and London, with experience that includes account management at one of the world’s leading luxury travel PR agencies- PRCo and working with some of the largest Asian destination organizations, before returning to the resort community of Aspen, Colorado, to oversee several hotel and resort PR campaigns.
Along that journey, Sarah-Jane has worked with a wide breadth of A-list media contacts, creating tailored, targeted story pitches for writers, rather than en mass press release distribution, in order to get the best possible coverage results for clients. As well as media relations, Sarah-Jane specializes in creative event planning, turning the typical cocktail reception into a dynamic brand platform.
She founded SJPR in January 2014, working as an independent PR and marketing consultant for travel and lifestyle clients including Carbondale Tourism, The Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery, 5Point Adventure Film Festival, Dancing Bear Aspen, Silverpeak Apothecary, and Strongwater Botanicals. Sarah-Jane often consult and partner alongside other PR companies including O Communications of Aspen who she has teamed up with to work on campaigns for Gorsuch Haus, Stoneyard Distillery and Element Hotel Basalt-Aspen. She also has an established network of PR contacts covering Asia, Australia and Europe.
Other travel, F&B, lifestyle brand experience includes Aspen Chamber, Viceroy Snowmass, Woody Creek Distillers, Starwood Hotels, Design Hotels, Tourism Valencia, THAI Airways, Tourism Malaysia, STA Travel. Her primary focus is locally-grown brand and especially loves communicating the story of Colorado-grown brands and the travel experience.
Sarah-Jane has specialist knowledge and interest in responsible tourism, having studied responsible tourism marketing through the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT), and is a member of The International Ecotourism Society.
